Legacy Discs

Legacy Discs is a family owned manufacturer.  They are fairly new to the disc golf scene when compared to some of the bigger competitors.  Their first disc was the Rampage, a speed 14 distance driver.  This started what has grown into a respected disc manufacturer.

Skyline Series:

THE SKYLINE SERIES ARE A SPECIAL BLEND OF PLASTIC ADDITIVES THAT ARE MERGED INTO OUR EXISTING ICON AND PINNACLE PLASTIC MIXES TO ACHIEVE A LIGHTER WEIGHT FOR THE MOLDS YOU KNOW AND LOVE. THESE ADDITIVES ARE BLENDED AND INJECTED INTO OUR EXISTING MOLDS TO LIGHTEN THE DISCS AND PARTICULARLY FOCUS ON THE OUTER EDGE OF THE RIM FOR CONSISTENT BALANCE. THE SKYLINE SERIES HAS CLOSE CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR PREMIUM SERIES PLASTICS WITH DURABILITY AND GRIP.


THE PRO’S TIP FOR THE SKYLINE SERIES:

The SKYLINE SERIES will add distance to a players game. This particular blend of plastic is perfect for those players that want the extra distance. It is specially designed to be thrown with less effort and still achieve maximum distance. Due to the lighter weights of the discs, they are often slightly less stable than their heavier counter parts. The glide will be longer and the flight will typically have more turn. These SKYLINE SERIES discs still have a stable return at the end of its flight depending on the mold that is thrown.

Ultralight Series:

THIS SERIES OF SPECIAL BLEND DISCS HAS BEEN MOST POPULAR TO SAY THE LEAST. THE ULTRALIGHT SERIES DISCS ARE A SPECIAL BLEND OF PLASTIC THAT IS BLENDED INTO OUR EXISTING PROTEGE PLASTIC TO ACHIEVE A LIGHTER WEIGHT FOR THE MOLDS YOU KNOW AND LOVE. THESE ADDITIVES ARE BLENDED AND INJECTED INTO OUR EXISTING MOLDS TO LIGHTEN THE WEIGHT OF THE DISCS. THE ULTRALIGHT SERIES HAS CHARACTERISTICS CLOSE TO THAT OF OUR PROTEGE SERIES PLASTICS WITH DURABILITY AND GRIP. THE ULTRALIGHT SERIES HAS BEEN MOST POPULAR DUE LIGHTER WEIGHTS FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF PLAYERS AT A GREAT PRICE. 


THE PRO’S TIP FOR THE ULTRALIGHT SERIES

The ULTRALIGHT SERIES was designed for new and experienced players. This special blend of plastic is easy to throw. It is available in several molds to complete a golfers disc selection. It was designed to be thrown with less effort for maximum distance. Due to the lighter weights of these discs, they are often less stable than their standard weight counterparts. The glide will carry the discs farther and greater distance will be easier to achieve. 

Excel Plastic:

THE EXCEL EDITION DISCS ARE A GREAT BUY AT A LOW COST. GREAT FOR BEGINNERS OR EXPERIENCE PROFESSIONALS. RIGID WITH A GREAT GRIP.


THE PRO’S TIP FOR THE EXCEL EDITION:

It is a great starting point. This is a great disc to have in your bag because it will break in quick for negative turn shots. This is a great plastic for a beginner and lower arm speed thrower.

Gravity Plastic:

THE GRAVITY EDITION IS A SOFT VERSION OF OUR PROTÉGÉ EDITION PLASTIC, WITH A TACKY FEEL FOR GRIP. THE ADDED FLEXIBILITY IN OUR GRAVITY EDITION WILL ABSORB THE IMPACT OF THE CHAINS. GREAT FOR BEGINNERS OR EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS. GRAVITY EDITION PLASTIC IS OFFERED IN THIER PUTTERS AND MID-RANGES.


THE PRO’S TIP FOR THE GRAVITY EDITION:

Gravity Edition is definitely a softer, more flexible plastic for Legacy Discs. Many putters out there truly appreciate the softer feel, leading to more confidence out of the hand and into the chains. This plastic tends to be slightly less stable than our stiffer Protégé Edition plastic supporting a softer touch around the chains.

Protege Plastic:

THE PROTEGE EDITION IS A STIFFER VERSION OF OUR GRAVITY PLASTIC AND GRIPPIER THAN OUR PINNACLE PLASTIC. PROTEGE IS RIGID AND HAS A GREAT GRIP.


THE PRO’S TIP FOR THE PROTEGE EDITION:

The Protégé Edition is a very important part of our game because of its rigid blend of plastic, it allows a disc golfer to work the disc in so that as it becomes what we call “beat” it allows the disc to have a unique curve for a negative turn shot.

Pinnacle Plastic:

THE PINNACLE EDITION IS VERY DURABLE. HAS A HIGHER SPEED OF FLIGHT THAN OUR BASE LINE PLASTICS. THE FLIGHT PATTERNS ARE CONSISTENT THROUGHOUT VARIOUS WEATHER CONDITIONS.


THE PRO’S TIP FOR THE PINNACLE  EDITION:

One of the advantages to having the Pinnacle Edition disc in your bag is that it is durable. This plastic has a long life span in which enables a golfer to be confident in knowing exactly what his disc will do. The other advantage is that there is not a big hook at the end of each throw but instead a slow curve.

Icon Plastic:


THE ICON EDITION HAS THE MOST GRIP OF ALL DESPITE RAINY CONDITIONS. THE ICON PLASTIC IS OF THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY THAT OFFERS THE FASTEST FLIGHT. IT’S DURABILITY IS SECOND TO NONE.


THE PRO’S TIP FOR THE ICON EDITION:

The advantage of having the Icon Edition in your bag is that it has the fastest flight. The distance in this edition of plastic is phenomenal despite any weather conditions. It is grippy, and has a consistent flight pattern. This is a true go to disc when you want that extra power on your shot. There is not a better choice of plastic to use when throwing into a head wind.
